Just used it today for a meatloaf! The insert worked wonderfully. Our former meatloaf pan, with a famous TV fool'snake on it, had handled on the pan itself but not on the insert! When the pan was not out of the oven got It could not get a handhold on the I sent to lift the pan out of the juices. This copper pan works the way It should. It also cleaned up very easily, no scrubbing required.
