Wow, this just arrived and it's a present for my daughter at college. Its so soft and pretty my other kids are wanting one too. So do I! What a great deal.

This is a great blanket. It has a nice weave to it like an old fashioned cotton blanket. And yes, it's 100% cotton, not cotton/poly blend. It's the right weight for me, just heavy enough but not too heavy.

Not as thick as it appears to be in the picture. Very, very warm and beautifully soft. I hope it stays that way after a few washes

Once this blanket is washed it becomes less soft. Not sure why. Although, when washed The plastic smell goes away and the static goes away, but I was expecting plush soft after washing too! Do I need to use fabric softener?
