Restaurants Plus credit card basics
You will be able to earn cashback on any card that is activated for Restaurants Plus. If more than one card is activated, we will designate a payback card to receive the earnings.
Can I use a debit card?
Debit cards bearing a Visa or MasterCard logo may be eligible, but all qualifying Restaurants Plus purchases must be processed as credit. Any purchase requiring a PIN number is not eligible.
How are Restaurants Plus purchases secured? We know the security of your credit card information is as important to you as it is to our business. LivingSocial works hard to secure the sensitive card information passed to us in every card transaction, and Restaurants Plus meets the same high standards as other LivingSocial transactions.
How and when do I earn cashback?
We want to be sure you can enjoy your Restaurants Plus experience to the fullest. Here's everything you need to know about how cashback payments work:
When will cashback payments be credited to my account?
Once you reach a $10.01 cashback balance, you’re eligible for a monthly payment in the amount you accrued. Cashback is automatically credited back to the payback card you identified when you set up your account. If your account balance has not yet reached $10.01, your cashback will simply roll over to the next month (or whenever your balance reaches $10.01).
On the 9th of each month, we'll submit the payment to the card you identified as your default payback card. The payment may take up to 7 days to process. If you receive an email from LivingSocial indicating payment, check your payback card statement between the 10th and 17th of the month to verify the transaction.
New members do not require a $10.01 account balance to receive initial payment. Once you make your first qualifying purchase, you’ll be eligible for a monthly payment, which will be delivered between the 10th and 17th of the following month.
In the event your default Restaurants Plus card is cancelled before you receive your cashback, LivingSocial will hold any funds earned which were not paid out, and transfer them to your new card when you register it.
If your account is completely closed, contact your former bank for assistance with balance transfers.
What if a transaction is missing?
First, check the merchant’s Restaurants Plus page to verify that the card you used is eligible for the program and that your purchase was a Qualified Purchase meeting the terms of the offer. Each page has a list of eligible cards. If your card isn’t there, the transaction wasn’t a qualified Restaurants Plus purchase. Please keep in mind that not all restaurants accept every credit card for Restaurants Plus purchases.
If your activated card and Qualified Purchase meet the terms of the offer, your transaction should show up soon. Because merchants run credit card reports at different points during the week, transactions can take 2 to 9 days from the date of purchase to show up on our site.
If your activated card and Qualified Purchase meet the terms of the offer and your transaction still hasn’t shown up after 9 days, please call 202-503-2777 to discuss any purchases you feel should be added to your account. Be ready to provide your user name plus receipts or processing information from the merchant to ensure that an activated card was used.
Be sure to confirm your transactions promptly -- transactions more than 30 days old cannot be credited.
Are Restaurants Plus savings available for all LivingSocial purchases?
No. Restaurants Plus savings are only available with participating restaurants. They are not connected to other purchases on LivingSocial.
Why is my Credit amount not exactly equal to the percentage of my bill shown in the Offer?
Qualified purchases earn you cashback based on a percentage of your sub-totaled bill. We calculate this by subtracting the tax and average tip from the venue where you used your Activated Card. If you tipped more or less than the average tip size, you may get slightly more or less than the percentage offered at the location.
How can I find restaurants that are participating in Restaurants Plus?
Restaurants Plus is currently available with participating restaurants in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Atlanta, and Washington DC. If you live in a participating city, you can find Restaurants Plus restaurants by clicking this link.
How do I deactivate my credit card?
You can choose to cancel your use of Restaurants Plus by calling the Restaurants Plus support line at 202-503-2777.
How do I stop receiving text messages?
Managing text notifications is easy. Text STOP in response to any Restaurants Plus text and we’ll stop sending you alerts via text message. You can manage email notifications by clicking "my preferences" at the top of any email you've received, then unchecking the box that reads "restaurants plus notifications.
Can I order through a delivery or order service?
Unfortunately, at this time we can only offer Restaurants Plus cashback on Qualified Purchases made inside the restaurant through the merchant’s credit card machine with receipts signed by you.
Can I use other Mogl services along with Restaurants Plus?
No. You may only enroll a card in one program operated by Mogl at a time. Please note that we use Mogl as our service provider to help us operate the Program. If you have already activated a payment card with a separate program operated by Mogl, you will be unable to activate that payment card in both the Program and the other program. You may use another payment card with the Program or deactivate your card with the other program. For additional help, you may contact the Program support line at 202-503-2777.
