The Best Restaurants for a Girls Night Out

Chicago is filled with amazing restaurants, outstanding shopping and limitless  adventures. As a woman I find myself getting lost in work, my day to day routines, all while trying to stay fit in this concrete jungle. From time to time I have to get out with my girls, eat, drink, catch up, drink and dance like I have no cares in the world. Did I mention drink?

Hub 51

If you’re travelling downtown you have to stop on Hubbard street at Hub 51.  I live for Hub! The chicken nachos, sushi, and hub punch are an orgasm for your mouth. The place has an amazing ambiance and is a hit. You can eat upstairs with your girls then burn the calories off on the dance floor at Sub 51. One stop shop for a fun night.

Bar Toma

I love this little token of Italian heaven. This is a great place to just relax, drink, catch up and get fat. All the food is good here. I have an obsession with the Calamari here, so I recommend it. The pizza, specifically the Power pizza with lamb sausage, is amazing. It’s hand made, fresh Artesian pizza. The pasta is outstanding, flavorful and portions are huge. Don’t get too full because the gelato here is a must. The service is amazing and the bartender can whip up anything for you. Whether you’re turning your girls day to a girls night or hitting the town for a relaxed evening, this place is a gem.

The Sit Down Cafe

If you’re avoiding the crowds downtown and want amazing sushi The Sit Down in Hyde Park is your place. You can watch your sushi be made and there is an array of options if someone in your group doesn’t like sushi. I highly recommend the fruit bruschetta. It’s freshly cut fruit on sweet toast and so beyond amazing. It’s definitely a must have. Besides sushi, there is delicious pizza, sandwiches and an array of gluten free options in the form of sushi, soups, stews, sandwiches and so much more. There is literally something for everyone when you stop here and you won’t be disappointed.

Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant

If you want to get out of the city, have amazing wine and food Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is worth the journey. You can start with a tasting, where  you will sample more than 6 different wines. From there you  proceed to dinner where literally everything from a turkey burger to surf and turf is available. The lobster bisque is some of the best soup you will have in your life. Everything that is sat on your table will be delicious. The pretzal bread and butter they serve will melt in your mouth but I warn you sdon’t get full on this alone. If your a carb loving maniac like me you know what I’m talking about. Another must have are the southwest egg rolls. ORDER THESE YOU WILL BE PLEASED! This is a great restaurant to sit, drink, laugh and hang with your girls sans husband, kids or adult responsibilities. There are several locations including Naperville and Orland Park.
