"I don’t think there's a quicker or more inexpensive way to obtain new clients. Groupon clients became our regular clients and their referrals also became our clients at no additional cost.”
Benita Sha, Owner of Panache Skin Care & Makeup Studio
After 18 years as a housewife, Benita Sha, a devoted esthetician, returned to her career and converted her aspirations into reality at Panache Skin Care & Makeup Studio in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. From professional skin care procedures to makeup artistry, the studio provides a broad range of beauty services.
Thanks to its 4.6-star rating and positive client reviews, Panache, which specializes in eyebrow threading, eyelash extensions, and customized beauty regimens, has swiftly established itself as the Lehigh Valley area's preferred location for beauty treatments. This achievement is a result of Benita's perseverance and her husband's steadfast support, which enabled her to carve out a new route and transform her passion into a successful company.
"After both of my boys had grown up, I decided to do something that I always wanted to do for myself, and my husband not only encouraged me but also supported me.
While I was studying to get my esthetic license, he bought and completely remodeled a property to make it a home of beauty, skincare, makeup, substance, and style", shares Benita.
Establishing a new company from the ground up is never simple, particularly in the highly competitive cosmetics sector. When Benita made the decision to become a professional esthetician again, she braced herself for a challenging new beginning.
Despite having the skills, her studio opened its doors with zero clients. As Benita recalls, "I was always advised by many experienced well-wishers, including my teachers and school staff, that opening a business with zero clients is like diving into the water without swimming experience." With little visibility and no customer base, Panache during its early days “had only very few clients. It was surely an alarming and scary situation thinking how would I make this business survive.”
Benita and her husband decided to partner with Groupon to build their clientele. It was a game-changer. Within a few months, Panache gained more than 1,000 clients. Benita attributes much of her success to the marketplace’s marketing power: "We achieved our goals and started seeing profitability in just a few months. Groupon clients became our regular clients, and their referrals also became our clients at no additional cost."
This surge in business not only helped Panache thrive but also led to further recognition in the local community, including the honor of being selected as a judge for the 2014 Miss Teen Pennsylvania competition. The business is also constantly growing. “Now I have two girls helping me as the business has grown so well, and my husband and I are talking about opening another small location using Groupon as our main rider”, Benita shares.
👉 Leverage Groupon’s reach: “Groupon brings in the clients… and most clients also bring in their friends and family.”
👉 Turn Groupon clients into regulars: “How it worked out is that Groupon clients became our regular clients, and their referrals also became our clients.”
👉 Utilize the no-cost advertising benefits: “You don’t spend if you don’t make a sale, which means you would pay only if you have made. The bottom line is there is nothing to lose for sure!”
“I can’t imagine what I would have done without this partnership. My business has gained a top-notch reputation, with so many clients leaving amazing reviews, and Groupon keeps me busy. Groupon is my lifetime rider for this business and businesses in the future.”
