The Itinerary

Day 1: Fly overnight from the US to Lisbon Depart from the US in the evening and fly overnight to Lisbon. Rest onboard and prepare to arrive in Portugal the next morning.

Day 2: Arrive in Lisbon & Settle In Arrive in Lisbon and transfer to your hotel. Take time to rest after your journey or enjoy a relaxed walk around your neighborhood. In the evening, have a light dinner at a traditional Portuguese restaurant and ease into local time.

Day 3: Discover Lisbon’s Historic Heart Spend the day exploring Lisbon’s most iconic neighborhoods. Wander through the narrow streets of Alfama, visit São Jorge Castle for sweeping city views, and stop by the Lisbon Cathedral. Ride the famous Tram 28 and explore Baixa and Chiado. Enjoy dinner with Fado music in the evening.

Day 4: Explore Belém & Scenic Views Head to the Belém district to visit Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower. Don’t miss tasting the famous pastéis de nata at Pastéis de Belém. In the afternoon, visit LX Factory or enjoy panoramic views from one of Lisbon’s miradouros (viewpoints). Spend your final Lisbon evening enjoying seafood or rooftop dining.

Day 5: Train from Lisbon to Porto Take a scenic train ride (about 3 hours) from Lisbon to Porto. After checking into your hotel, explore Ribeira, Porto’s colorful riverside district. Walk across the Dom Luís I Bridge and enjoy dinner overlooking the Douro River.

Day 6: Discover Porto’s Culture & Wine Visit Livraria Lello, one of the world’s most beautiful bookstores, and explore Clérigos Tower for panoramic views. Tour São Bento Train Station to admire its azulejo tiles. In the afternoon, cross the river to Vila Nova de Gaia for a port wine tasting experience.

Day 7: Explore More of Porto or the Douro Valley Spend your final full day visiting the Bolsa Palace and Porto Cathedral, or take a day trip to the Douro Valley for vineyard views and river scenery. Celebrate your last evening with a traditional Portuguese dinner along the river.

Day 8: Fly from Porto back to the US Transfer to Porto Airport for your flight home, bringing unforgettable memories of Portugal’s vibrant cities, coastal charm, rich history, and delicious cuisine.
