Pilates 80/20 is a boutique Pilates studio in West Los Angeles offering small-group classes, private training and personalized instruction across the complete Pilates system. Conveniently located near National and Sawtelle Boulevards, the studio welcomes new and experienced clients seeking knowledgeable guidance, individualized attention and a supportive place to build a consistent movement practice. Our philosophy is simple: 80% Pilates…20% Good Vibes!

Pilates 80/20 was recognized by USA News as the Best Private Pilates Training Studio in West Los Angeles for 2025. Studio owner is a former YMCA CEO, a Master Pilates Triner and an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. Her experience in fitness leadership, private training and instructor education shapes the studio’s commitment to thoughtful teaching; mens, youth and senior classes and overall high professional standards.

We offers much more than Reformer classes. Our instructors teach classical Pilates exercises and principles while thoughtfully incorporating appropriate variations to support each client’s goals, experience and ability level. Clients may have opportunities to train on the Reformer, Cardio Jumpboard, Tower, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector and Mat. Available apparatus and services depend on the class or appointment selected, the current schedule, the participant’s ability level and instructor approval.

Every Pilates 80/20 instructor is comprehensively trained, with a minimum of 450 hours of education across the complete Pilates system and method—not solely the Reformer. This broad education allows our instructors to select exercises, apparatus, variations and progressions intentionally. Rather than applying the same workout to every body, we help participants move safely and confidently while developing strength, control, coordination, balance, posture, mobility and body awareness.

Our small-group format provides the energy and connection of training with others while allowing instructors to observe participants and offer meaningful guidance. Class options may include Reformer, Tower, Chair, Mat, Cardio Jumpboard and combination formats at different experience levels. Because Pilates is progressive, clients should select classes appropriate for their current ability and follow instructor recommendations before advancing.

Private Pilates training offers a customized experience built around personal goals, movement history, ability level and availability. Private sessions allow the instructor to select from the studio’s full range of apparatus and adjust the pace, sequence and challenge for the individual. Private training is ideal for clients who are new to Pilates, want to understand the exercises more deeply, prefer focused instruction or need scheduling flexibility.

The Pilates 80/20 Member Experience gives new clients an opportunity to discover our customized approach to comprehensive Pilates training. Each experience is thoughtfully tailored to the client’s goals, ability level, availability and instructor recommendations.

The atmosphere at Pilates 80/20 is professional without feeling intimidating. We create a welcoming environment where clients feel seen, supported and encouraged as they develop their practice. Whether someone is attending a first class, returning to movement, expanding beyond Reformer training or pursuing a more advanced practice, our team meets each client at an appropriate starting point.
