• 90-Minute Seal and Sea Life Adventure Tour

Join a Seal Safari adventure to the captivating Seal Rocks on the Southern end of Santa Catalina Island, a popular attraction since the late 1800's. Start your tour with complimentary locally-made snacks and beverages provided as you sail southeast from Avalon Bay. A knowledgeable crew will point out scenic landmarks and wildlife sightings and share fascinating stories about the Catalina seals and sea life. Witness a variety of marine life, from dolphins and seasonal whales to sharks, stingrays, diving aquatic birds and sea turtles gliding just beneath the clear Pacific waters. Upon arriving at Seal Rock, get ready for an up-close encounter with the playful and curious Catalina seals. Your experienced crew will guide you through the area, where you can observe the seals lounging on the rocks, swimming in the water and basking in the sun. You'll be amazed by their agility and acrobatics as they playfully interact with each other and their surroundings. We will allow plenty of time for all guests to view and photograph the seals and scenery. On our way back to Avalon, of Captain will be on the lookout for other sea life, on most trips we spot pods of dolphins and an occasional whale.
