The boot camp was informative, and the pairings were mind blowing. I would return. My only complaint was regarding a comment about the Aztecs. It would be unfair to say they didn’t understand science when in fact they advanced botany, agriculture, irrigation, food and herbal medicines. In fact, today we still eat many foods and use many of the same remedies/practices Aztecs developed.

Participated in their Wine Boot Camp. Incredibly knowledgeable about winemaking and drinking and also entertaining. Their Cab Franc is some of the best I've had.

Donna and Carle are great people. They both truly love wine making and talking with people. Staff is great also!! Classes are fun and exciting. They teach you the real ins and out of wine drinking at restaurants. I have been to 4 classes already and have signed up for 3 more already. Worth every penny. The wine is great also.

About Little Washington Winery

Just over 60 miles from the U.S. capital and tucked into a sweet spot of Virginia Wine Country, Little Washington Winery handcrafts old world-style wines from their own vineyards. Their open-air perch, which sits on the edge of Shenandoah National Park, catches ample light for the vineyard's growing fruits, and, perhaps just as importantly, grants a panoramic view of the forests ahead.

Inside the tasting room, guests learn something new every time they visit as experts walk through a curated flight of estate wines—both red and wine—as well as other hard-to-find varieties. Visitors also have a rare opportunity to explore the world of vino even further with the Dirt Road Wine Club, which boasts the winery's own offerings as well as craft bottles from around the globe.
