About Boneheads - Alpharetta

Boneheads' eclectic menu of grilled fish and spiced chicken features a collision of cultural flavors, a fitting tribute to the restaurant's origins. The concept came about through an accident, quite literally. Two chefs driving in opposite directions each pondered the eatery they'd like to one day open. One, Atlanta-born, dreamed of a casual eatery focusing on grilled fish, while the other wanted to introduce his native South Africa's piri piri pepper sauce to American palates. Perhaps distracted by such grand thoughts, their cars collided and proved a fateful meeting of the minds when they decided to go into business together.

Today, Boneheads—a name the chefs gave themselves after their accident—boasts nine locations in five states. Each one serves the signature spiced grilled fish and piri piri dishes. Fish comes in sandwiches, tacos, and by itself, while the piri piri sauce is featured on everything from barbecued chicken to mushroom cheeseburgers.
