About Sacred Heart Bodywork

Jennifer Lamkins, the owner and head massage therapist at Transcendence Mind-Body-Soul, began learning massage modalities for a simple reason: to make people feel better.

And that's just what she strives for at Transcendence Mind-Body-Soul. With a mixture of empathy, compassion, and technique, Jennifer works with each client to relieve their individual afflictions. One notable offering is something she likes to call Multidimensional Healing for Whole Body Health, in which she uses her knowledge of hypnosis, massage modalities, and intuition to find alternative methods of healing various conditions. For those looking for more traditional relief, Jennifer also offers foot detox, Reiki healing, Swedish, clinical, and hot stone massage, the latter of which uses oil lava stones to help melt tension and keep newly lightened spirits from floating off the table.

She focused on my areas of need. Some of the massage techniques were different and didn't seem to help with my muscle tension. Overall the massage was alright.

All I wanted to do was relax for 1 hour. I understand the purpose of educating a client, but I wasn’t interested in education or pressure point stuff. I wanted a massage to relax. There was a lot of me laying still without any massage at all. The comment was made that “isn’t it weird how a massage can involve no massaging at all.” I wasn’t impressed. Awkward conversation too.
