About Green Haven Horse Stables

The instructors at Green Haven Horse Stables guide riders of all skill levels on the path to proper horsemanship with private and group lessons as well as summer camps for children. Each lesson focuses on safety and building self-confidence, which are of the utmost importance when commanding a steed to jump over fences or ride through an airport security checkpoint. Riders may choose to ride in the styles of English, hunter jumping, Western, or dressage, with intermediate and above dressage lessons conducted by a certified USDF judge. At summer camps, children ages 6–14 receive a proper introduction to horses, spending a full week learning the subtleties of equitation and participating in fun-filled games and activities.

I was a little unhappy with the fact that I paid so much for a horse camp and my girls came home talking about spending a lot of time inside. They were bored and did not get much riding time. They also complained about the bathrooms smelling so bad and being so dirty that they tried to avoid going potty as long as possible! That's unacceptable. They said there was not any soap in bathrooms or antibacterial hand sanitizer for them to clean hands before eating. We will not be back and I will spread the word. Sorry.

We had used other horse camps and the focus was teaching how to ride horse independently, at green haven they barely got on and was only lead in a walking pace. You get more experience going thru a guided trail which we all know the horse just goes thru the motions. I did not need a "daycare" for the week!
