About Ashley O'Brien Photography

Ashley O'Brien is a stellar judge of character—even when the character in question happens to be a day or two or old. Her fondness for photographing newborns leads to such creative shots as a pair of baby feet, each big toe wearing a parent's ring, or an infant nestled atop a pink cushion, bedecked in pearls that it donned before dozing off after an exhausting jewelry heist. No matter her subject's age, she strives to capture their personality in her shots, and fun props—large birthday cakes to honor baby's first birthday, for example—certainly help to bring out the smiles.

Though she has a special knack for snapping pictures of babies, she also takes portraits of families, high school seniors, and couples on their wedding day. Her boudoir photos highlight ladies' sensual sides, and her maternity photos, meanwhile, show moms-to-be in striking silhouettes that highlight the curvature of a pregnant belly.
