About Central Glass Works

Dipping the blow pipe down into the white-hot furnace, Kevin Michael Regan demonstrates to his students how to gather the molten glass before blowing, shaping, and re-heating the hot, molten material. As owner and resident artist of Central Glass Works, Regan puts nearly two decades of experience to use crafting unique pieces and passing the skills of the centuries-old art on to any curious students who visit. Along with his team of like-minded glass artists, they lead students of all ages and skill-levels during private lessons, group workshops to craft simple paperweights, or more advanced lessons on how to make the perfect glass slipper.

My husband and I enjoyed the workshop and we LOVE the pieces we made. The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure everyone was taken care of. We hope to come back and make some more pieces in the future.

Very friendly and patient instructors. They had a great balance between letting you do things with their help and then letting you help them for the more complicated parts. That made it fun and we still got to make very cool projects.

We had a great time during our two hour class and my husband and I each made 3 items--each a different type. The class we took before in Tacoma only let us make one. The instructors were lively and outgoing and very careful about safety issues. Wear closed toe shoes, bring water and expect to have to come back sometime within the next week to picture up your items--the glass has to cool for a minimum of 12 hours before you can take it out of the safe.
