There had been a storm, but it was cleaned up and looked great. I have always liked playing this course!!

With four sets of tees per hole, the course at Ashland Golf Club caters equally to new players and polished veterans. Opportunities for scores below par arrive early in the round: holes one and three are relatively short par 5s at 439 yards and 528 yards respectively. Both holes force long hitters to make a choice between accepting a dare to reach the green in two strokes, and telling a truth about an embarrassing date. The difficulty level ramps up from there and tops out at number 16, a 375-yard par 4 and the hardest hole on the course.

We enjoyed not being pushed in our play. The fairways, greens and rough are reasonably maintained, but not exceptional. Good value, however, for the price. Clubhouse facilities were in good shape, can handle larger groups if needed, and had spaces that were comfortable for casual after a round refreshments. The back nine provides more interesting play.

Beautiful course! Only distraction was the traffic an trains from across highway 6. I'd still go again though.

I had a great time at a first rate course. Late in the season, but a friendly staff and favorabe weather made our day worth repeating.

The only thing that was annoying was that we were there in the afternoon and the sprinklers were running the entire time. It was breezy and chilly and the water was cold.
