The wine "expert" from the food demo and wine pairings looked down on Americans and American cuisine to the point it was insulting.

We attended a cooking class on a Sunday afternoon. Colin, the chef, was knowledgable and personable. The food was outstanding and prepared with healthy eating in mind which often isn't the case in restaurants. If we lived in Chicago, Bistro Voltaire would be our once-a-week neighborhood hangout.

Colin, the chef, was fantastic. He did a fabulous demonstration for an intimate group of diners and the food was delicious. There was also a lot of it and it was beautifully paired with appropriate wines. I would definitely go here for dinner.
