O'Brien's Restaurant & Bar has enlivened Old Town for more than 30 years with its abundant Irish pride and a menu packed with sizzling steaks, half-pound Angus burgers, and exotic seafood such as Scottish salmon and dover sole. Patrons enter into a bright dining room with polished hardwood floors, tall ceilings, and high windows, and on warmer days, the public house throws open the doors to its flower garden so that guests can sip suds and hold out arms for landing skydivers. O'Brien's boasts of its Celtic ties year-round, but makes them best known in March during its annual "Oh Danny Boy" singing contest and many other festivities.

The food was just not good. For the prices they charge, you think you would be getting a higher end pub food. I'd rather go to Corcorans or Wells on Wells next time. Really disappointing.

I liked the burger but I thought it was rather plain with almost no fixings like lettuce, tomato and onion. A better tasting burger is at Red Robbin with all the fixings and a tangy great tasting sauce. I have been there to your place to drink for parties several different times and I always enjoy that but I think that the price is high for what you get. We went there for food after work and we were the only people there in the main room area with the bar. This isn't near as fun as when there are many other people there. The food was good for the price but if I would have paid full price I would have been disappointed in the value I received. The service was excellent but that may have something to do with the fact that we were about the only ones there. If I were you I would offer many food only deals so that the regulars get a good price and at the same time you get a high mark up on the tourists. These deals would be of benefit to the people who spend many days there a month like a card that they could have so that whenever they spend $100 in food they get up to 50% off of there next $100 spent in food. This is because it is more fun to eat in a bar than drink in a restaurant so go and make all of your money on the booze. Please call me if you want Dan (312) 617-2928
