My children are happy to learn their grandparents' inherent and other immigration stories.

We had low expectations for this small (by museum standards), relatively unheralded attraction. But we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and depth of the exhibits. We easily spent two hours there and could have been there longer if we didn't have other obligations. We had no idea of the rich German heritage of Iowa, and this was a great way to experience it.

Interesting stories provided using interesting media and format.

Nice place to visit if you only have a short amount of time. I loved the stained glass exhibit!

It was awesome to see all the displays about our forebears and what they went through to come to the US. We also saw two park benches built by our Grandfather in 1898, they were used in Schuetzen Park in Davenport, Iowa. They had been rescued and then donated to the German American Heritage Center in memory of our Grandfather and Grandmother and we didn't even know it until today.

Learned a whole lot about the German influence in the area. Was exciting and will be back soon!

It was worth visiting. They had an exhibit on Bauhaus, but it seems the kaleidoscope exhibit is gone besides a large kaleidoscope. I enjoyed learning what it was like to be German-American during the world wars. They had several fun, interactive displays.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our time at the Center. It was very interesting.

My friend and I had a great experience there. There was really only one floor of the museum but it was awesome and laid out really well. There was a special exhibit on the main floor that was great as well.
