Eat lunch before arriving at the turn-around so that you'll have enough time to hike to the foot bridge for some great photos and even greater scenery!

We'll worth the trip to ride the train. We didn't know you could bring your own food though. Next time we will pack a lunch for the ride.

Tell people ahead of time that they should bring goggles if they sit outside (protection from flying cinders).

Recommend upgrading to the night sky car or in the summer to the deluxe class car. Have to come back for the whole trip to silverton.

My husband and I had a great time! The staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly. The ride was beautiful comfortable.
