About Lakeside Vineyard & Winery

When Bill and Sherry Buda returned from years of living in and traveling Europe, they brought with them a taste for fine wine. They also happened to inherit a small farm that had been in Sherry's family for generations. Taking up residence there, they knew exactly what the wanted to do—they created a tiny vineyard, began making wine, and called their new venture Generation Hill Winery. These days, they haven't expanded the operation much. They prefer to focus on putting a lot of craftsmanship into small batches of wine. They produce fewer than 5,000 bottles a year, overseeing every step of the process from seed planting to bottling.

All the wines here tend towards the dry side. Despite what the websites say, they are NOT open on Sundays. They're open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Also, there are a few cute bistro type places to eat very close, so take advantage of the location and enjoy lunch before or after your tasting.
