These events and more are all showcased at Gilbert Days, of which, traditionally, the Gilbert Days Rodeo is a three-day event. I have never been to a rodeo. I am sure if it was raining we would have stayed longer to enjoy everything. But it was just to cold and wet for me. I will try again in the future.

It could have been a fun event. However, It wasn't organized well. It is as if those who planned the event expected a low turnout. There was no parking so they were double parking people (this didn't work well for us because we had our 4 children with us and weren't going to make it to the end.) I hope that there is better planning in the future!

I have always loved the Gilbert Rodeo. However they need to find a permanent facility. The ranch it was held at was far too small and the seating was ridiculous. The weather made it miserable but that was out of their control. It was dissapointing that most contestants never showed up because of that. There was not much to watch. They should have given part of the entry fees back because in no way was it worth the admission. This is coming from someone who has grown up in rodeo my entire 30 years. Get it together Gilbert, this is a huge tradition amd you need to find a way to continue it the way it use to be.

We got to the event which had posted on their website "a rain or shine event" and the gates opened at 4 but all events were to start at 7. We got there at 7:05 they had multiple "electrical issues" and once they started they had 3 bulls and riders and ended the show by 8 with about 25 minutes of actual rodeo events. The rodeo was supposed to continue until 10!!!! I felt extremely ripped off. If the event was going to be cut short have it posted on the website, tell people entering the event or have a phone number we can call before. no where on the site was a contact number.
