Landfall Restaurant, Woods Hole4.5167 reviewsAbout Landfall Restaurant
Considering it was built upon a sea wall and a sandy beach, there was never going to be anything about Landfall Restaurant that wasn't coastal. There are the obvious things––a menu brimming with East Coast–style seafood (think fresh Nantucket swordfish and lobster rolls), and panoramic views of the Woods Hole Harbor it was built beside.
But those who can turn their eyes away from the sea and its bounty will notice the relationship runs much deeper. From the rafters hangs an amphora: a 2,000 year-old Grecian urn that was pulled from the Aegean in a fisherman's net. The walls curve with "ship's knees," the boards of a schooner that crashed onto Cuttyhunk Island. In fact, you could even sail a schooner to the Landfall; there are docks right outside for hungry boaters or spellbound sea monsters looking to stop in for a bite.
