The Brass Tap, Mesa
The Brass Tap, Mesa4.39465 reviewsAbout The Brass Tap
The staff at The Brass Tap take beer very seriously, and so do many of their customers. The evidence for this are the beertenders, each one of whom is a certified cicerone who is there to educate interested customers about beer, as well as pour it.
Thankfully, the bar makes it easy to sort through its lengthy list of beers. The menu is divided by beer types, which go deeper than the basic delineation of ale vs. lager vs. water that's been dyed amber. Their bottled beers run the gamut from Phoenix Biltmore Blonde to Grand Canyon Sunset Amber to Sleepy Dog Wet Snout Stout, and brews on draft include Huss Hustler, Lucifer Black, and Schilling Grapefruit Cider. Beer even permeates the food menu: the chipotle mustard on the house-baked pretzels is infused with pale ale, just as the cheese dip is made with either Samuel Adams or new Belgium. And their all new brunch menu comes with recommended drink pairings.
As for entertainment, The Brass Tap books a variety of local bands on Fridays and Saturdays, and trivia and happy hours find regular spots on the schedule, which can be enjoyed on outdoor dog-friendly patio. During football season, they open early for daytime games and serve up hearty brunch fare and icy beers at least thirty minutes before kickoff.
