About Porter Peach Festival

The aroma of peaches fills the air each year at the Porter Peach Festival. The sweet fruits are everywhere: filling wooden barrels, baked into pies, and cheekily donning orange peels. And even if you're not next to a fresh peach, you can see one's image displayed on stage behind live bands or marking where contestants line up for the 5K run. Living up to the "festival" in the event's name, the weekend also features a classic car show, ATV mud races, and arts and crafts vendors.

It's a small town with a nice atmosphere. Not a lot of barkers. Just a few vendors and good produce.

This was not a discount. It was Miss represented. It cost me $20 for two entries and it NEVER said it did not include a shirt. All races included a shirt. When I got at the race they wanted $15 more for the shirt per racer- same as a full price

When I finished the 5K there was no water and there were no peaches. I've been to runs before that were cheaply done, but it seems like the goal here was to take in as much revenue as possible while providing absolutely nothing to the participant.
