The food was good (as it has been in the past) and they had a great Tuesday deal where you could get 2 sandwiches and a free appetizer for $20. However, I didn't receive my meal until the other 3 people at my table had already almost finished theirs. I was calm and tried not to make it a big deal because I was enjoying my night out, but I felt like both the food runner and our server made it seem like I was somehow at fault for wanting my food. A simple, "Sorry about that" would have been nice, but instead both of them freaked out in front of our table, then ran away to look at the computer. Even when I finally did get my food, no one really said anything about it. It also just seemed like any simple requests seemed to throw them off their game. For example, we all had to ask for refills on our drinks (as opposed to our server asking or even having them ready without needing to ask), and her reaction made us feel like maybe we shouldn't have asked. It would be one thing if the place was packed at the time. Trust me, I've been a server and I know it can be stressful, but there were only maybe five occupied tables, and I'm pretty sure we may have been her only one. I feel like at other places if there were this many--borderline comical--occurrences, someone (the server, a manager, etc.) would have at least come by to apologize but probably also to offer us a round of drinks or something to go that extra mile, but nothing like that happened. I should note that this one experience probably won't keep me from returning, as my friends live right around the corner and we've had fine experiences in the past. However, I thought it was worth mentioning since I haven't had that kind of service at a restaurant in a long time.
