This was a anniversary gift for my husband and I. Our instructor was The Man himself...Owner, Gun Enthusiasts, and Safety Guru: Mr. Kelly. Mr. Kelly broke the Oklahoma Statues and the Self-Defence Act down to layman terms that everyone could grasp and he related everything to what's happening in the real world, today. Not only did he give us what thus said the Law, but he also gave us his opinion and was not fake about it, cause if he was wrong in his judgement he made sure to put that out there too. As to say, Hey! I'm human and I think like you too, but it's wrong cause the "Law" states ... The class was comfortable and engaging. Under Mr. Kelly's instructions we were able to relax, retain and respond. He took a serious topic that would be otherwise long and boring and made learning the ins and out, the do's and don't fun,and we could actually see ourselves and how we could end up in similar situations and what we should and could do according to the law.
If you take an 8 hour class like we did, they provide lunch/dinner...Pizza from All American. I've never had their pizza before, but it was actually good. It was a Sicilian style, thin crust pizza. All American/Pie Five gave everyone that completed the course a card for a free pizza.
The shooting range area was nice and clean, a bit cold to say we were indoors, though. Our class was so large that Mr. Kelly had to split us into groups to get our required range and shooting time done, but it was still very professional. He showed us the proper way to handle a firearm, even how to grip our weapon and a ready/firing stance. He gave us lots of safety tips, pointers, and numerous FYI's. My husband and I had a few "Ah! Ha, moments and it's never too late to teach and old dog new tricks.
Overall, I'm so glad we finally did it, cause this world is changing and not for the better; we decided to claim our right to bare arms, before that right is striped away. We could not have chosen a better place, "Sgt Everett's", and instructor, "Mr. Kelly Boatwright". We have already been recommending this class and gun range to our friends and family. We have even posted them to our social media. PS! the cost was efficient, too! It was worth every penny we paid and then some.
Nice sized place and very informed and professional staff. Trevor T, my conceal carry instructor, was fantastic. He made a pretty serious class quite entertaining. He related real life examples to give better understanding of the law...and conscientious heartfelt views. Memorable experience all around!
I really enjoyed going to the conceal and carry class. I was a little intimidated at first because I hadn’t shot much and didn’t feel real comfortable with a weapon. However, after I was in the class (7 men and 2 other ladies) I became more relaxed. Trevor was our instructor and he made learning “comfortable” because of his teaching style.
I highly recommend Sergeant Everett’s!
