You cannot use strollers, as it is not handicapped or stroller accessible. The staff was very friendly and helpful in explaining all the different Exhibits to my children and I.

Give yourself at least 2 hours to see everything and make sure you ask the workers if you can touch any insects/spiders. They are very nice and will be extremely accomodating!! I had a spider crawling on my arm!!

This is not for the faint of heart/anyone who has serious bug or reptile fears. I was amazed at how many specimens they were able to take out of the boxes. My son held a few lizards, touched a scorpion and grasshopper and they offered to take a tarantula out but I refused. The workers there were really great. Very friendly and very informative. It was really neat and my son loved it! Be aware there are 2 flights of stairs to climb.

There is free parking nearby or metered parking in front of the insectarium.

Talk to the staff and interns who are from a local university who have a lot of knowledge and information.
