Water, foam, and shrink-wrap. Though it sounds like the set for an offbeat shampoo commercial, it’s the L.I. Adventure Race. The challenging 5K mud run boasts an array of obstacles that involves everything from heaps of dirt to its archenemy, soap. After runners tackle the course obstructions and sprint to the finish line caked in mud, members from the local fire company will be on hand to hose them off.
