Nice Mexican restaurant 🌮
Food is real good but on Friday night it is very crowded and staff are very busy.
Keep up with the new waitstaff -- especially the two older gentleman who are excellent, they are much better than the group about a year ago. The manager is very visible & really keeps things moving. Keep running specials for this location. After the Japanese restaurant next door got closed down, word got out about about bad experiences at El Porton. A cockroach ran up a booth, etc. No doubt a refugee bug from next door, but still...bad word got out. It's unfortunate, but you need to rebuild your reputation of cleanliness. Until now, we have been going up to the Alphar. Hwy El Porton. Glad we are back to our fav neighborhood spot!
See you next time!
El Porton is consistently good...the food and the service!
My wife and I have eaten at El Porton many times over a period of years because we like the food. Generally, the service has been adequate, though never special. Last night, however, we had a waiter who seemed not to know the menu at all and botched our order. It took several tries and seemingly about three other people to finally get things more or less right, at which point we had been there as long as we wished to be and took the remaining food home. When we ordered, the waiter acted as if he understood our order thoroughly and asked no questions to clarify it.
I'm sure we'll go back because of our overall positive experiences of El Porton, but last night was a great disappointment.
Everything was fantastic
The food and service was good. And the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.
Great service. Will eat there again soon.
They have reasonable prices and better food than most Mexican restaurants in the ATL area.
