About Southeast Photo Adventures

Although instructors Travis Clark and Jon Gillespie lead Southeast Photo Adventures's workshops and excursions, they share the teaching load with the shores of Tybee Island and the depths of Cloudland Canyon. Students shoot shoulder-to-shoulder with instructors amid these sprawls of striking Southeastern scenery, whether they're enrolled in 2.5-hour workshops, Foto Field Trips open to workshop grads, or weekend-long adventures. The field-trip-style outings are open to all skill levels, but beginners can also enhance their expertise in introductory courses on Photoshop, digital photography, and DSLR cameras' complex settings, which control everything from shutter speed to the tiny red light bulb behind each of our eyes.

Great experience and was given quite a bit of information in regards to the handling, certain lenses, lighting, settings, and even places for picture amongst other things. I enjoyed the class thoroughly not only lecture wise but also due to how the instructor kept everyone engaged. It was also a plus to see that the instructor had a surplus amount years in different areas pertaining to the art.

Excellent Beginner camera workshop. Travis is an excellent photographer and instructor who is very dedicated to teach his students how to work our techniques and show his passion for this hobby/career. This class made me more confident and helped my health because photography is always been a passion for me.

Great workshop! I walked in barely able to turn on my camera and walked out being able to take decent pictures of my kids not using the auto setting on my camera pretty much right away. Can’t wait to come back and do more workshops!

Definitely glad we went. You will leave class with tools and settings that help you be successful right away. Ditching Auto is rewarding. It’s not the gear. It’s about learning the camera settings and the fun and adventure of capturing the image you want. Take some classes and go on a field trip!

Very easy to follow and the instructor is patient. I like the fact that they ask what type of camera you have ahead of time so they are prepared and they get to make sure you have the right type for the class
