About Kara's K9 Retreat

Caring for animals comes naturally to Kara Smith. Before moving to San Antonio, she managed a cage-free dog-care facility, and since she's been in the area, she's clocked hours at two different veterinary clinics. Today, she runs Kara's K9 Retreat, where dogs burn off pent-up energy by running around with their friends. Outside, the play yard is stocked with toys and two pools, where pups can splash around and challenge each other to belly-flop contests. During inclement weather, three indoor playrooms entertain pooches. Dogs can also stay fit with sessions on the puppy treadmill, proven to help fight obesity and keep dogs active. Overnight guests rest comfortably in the cage-free facility, and pet parents can also schedule a massage or a bath for their four-legged friends.
