About Asaggio Pizza Pasta Plus

After Cubs fan Jerry Bishop moved to San Diego, he couldn't find deep-dish pies that met the demands of his Chicago taste buds. So he decided to open his own pizza shop—Asaggio Pizza Pasta Plus. Over the past 30 years, Jerry and his wife Liz have rounded out the menu with New York–style pizza, calzones, and pasta, all made with freshly prepared dough and handcrafted sauces. Staffers also hand stuff the sweet Grandma's-recipe cannoli, which diners can enjoy on the waterfront patio.

Be prepared to wait for the chicago style; but it's well worth it! We plan to go back any time we're in San Diego.

they made the wrong pizza, we ate half, and they gave us our money back, and were extremely apologetic . Anyone can make a mistake and they were most gracious.

There Chicago style pizza was really good. We also tried the lasagna with sausage. It was a big serving and delicious! We have a family of three. Teenager loved it! We will definitely make that our spot every time we visit Sandiego.
