About Renaissance Productions

If you’ve ever wanted to go back in time, but didn’t have access to a wormhole, San Jose Fantasy Faire is your next best bet. This annual festival showcases a reimagined Renaissance, complete with a royal court, Master Shakespeare, storytellers, fairies, and a town full of colorful characters. This lost era contains a vast labyrinth of nooks and crannies, from merchants proffering ye olde turkey legs to shops stocked with leather wears and carved tankards. This year's highlight is the one of a kind International Jousting Championships with riders from Canada, Europe and USA duking it out for glory, purse and bragging rights. And no visit to Elizabethan England is complete without seeing the queen, who may also make the occasional appearance to knight a brave warrior or banish a dragon from the realm.

The San Jose Renaissance Faire was really great! Super great way to introduce young kids to this exciting era in time, just the right size, not overcrowded just right with enough activities to fill the day. Our grandkids loved it and it was an excellent learning experience for them as well. We drove in from Brentwood, CA and the commute was convenience; just a great location and overall excellent experience! Thank you.

I really enjoyed the merchants, they were all super friendly. My only thing was that it was small compared to what I expected and the prices for items were a lot higher as well. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed the entertainment.

When it used to be in Novato. it was much larger and had the feel of being in a forest. This just seemed like a usual street fair.
