The chair that they had me sitting in (a cloth director's chair) was extremely uncomfortable. Also there was not enough privacy in my opinion. I was sitting in a Very small room, and the gal left the room door open, so a number of people would come right up to the door to watch the process of detoxing my feet. I didn't feel that comfortable with it. Plus, I really didn't notice any of the typical after effects, or any feeling of well-being from the process.
