About the Big Bugs Exhibit
This summer, zoo-goers will gawk at giant, animatronic bugs (like a 7-foot ladybug or the 33-foot tarantula) as they spread their wings and move around inside the Houston Zoo’s special exhibit Big Bugs presented by Texas Direct Auto. From May 26 to September 3, guests will get up close and personal with different types of bugs that, because they’re up to 60 times larger than their actual size, reveal their intricate anatomy on a grand, yet accurate scale. Visitors will also learn about the roles these insects play in their respective habitats, like pest controller or forest decomposer.
