    After emigrating from Japan in 2004, Taka Tokuyama honed his craft working at high-end New York salons including Warren-Tricomi and Patrick Melville. Now, as owner of Tokuyama Salon, Taka combines his structured Japanese background and New York training with products from John Masters Organics to craft classic-yet-edgy styles that look as polished on the street as they do on high-fashion runways. His nimble hands have also teased the locks of celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Szohr, and Paris Hilton, and coiffed the notoriously hairy pages of Harper’s Bazaar and Nylon magazines. When not working on the hottest heads in the business, he works tirelessly to share his dream with others, welcoming other aspiring Japanese-American stylists to work under his tutelage and benefit from his expertise.
