As soon as you check in, you are greeted with friendly smiles. We took our english bulldog with us and the hotel was very accommodating. They brought up a bed, chew toy, and bowls for him. The restaurant above the hotel is called Departure and we enjoyed our dinner and had a great view of the waterfront. There was also a restaurant at the lobby which served amazing breakfasts. The lobby was beautifully decorated.I forgot my iPhone charger and the concierge charged it for me every time I needed a power boost. I downloaded The Nines app and helped me stay connected with the hotel to request for maid service, request for our car from valet($36/nt), and to check how much I've charged to the room. There is a fitness center and free internet. The location was fantastic for shopping and restaurant access. The room was posh looking but the bed was very firm which we didn't expect but the down comforter and pillows made up for the bed'd firmness. The drinks in the mini fridge were not badly priced for a five star hotel, 5 bucks for a beer was a good deal. We would definitely stay here again.
pros: There an app that you can download and stay on top of your folio or request your car from the valet or taxi service. This place is truly a five star. The lobby was amazingly decorated and it had a restaurant which serves the best breakfast
cons: none

as only 5 star hotel in portland i expected rooms to be of at least a comparable size to 3-4 star hotels. it was much smaller, and should have been much larger.
pros: quality and location
cons: very, very small room with interior view. expected more

The price I got using Priceline's Express Deal was only a few dollars less than the price offered on the hotel web site.
