It takes more than a mere day-trip to discover the true magic of Yosemite Park. These pros will show you spots that are sure to take your breath away.

The Destination
Spanning 1,200 square miles of nature's finest—from the cascading waters of Vernal Falls to the soaring sequoias of Mariposa Grove—Yosemite National Park is larger than life. Just ask Ansel Adams, whose large-format photos of this majestic Sierra Nevada setting helped promote the preservation of the landscape for generations to come. Indeed, this "temple of nature," as naturalist John Muir described it in the 1800s, draws visitors from around the world to worship at Mother Nature's altar.

Choose from two picturesque spots: You can trek through the awe-inspiring Glacier Point, which boasts gorgeous skyscraping mountains, or savor the flatlands of Tuolumne Meadows, where you may be able to catch a golden sunset.

The Digs
Not only will Treks + Tracks provide you with all the necessary gear for your adventure—including sleeping bags, backpacks, tents, cooking gear, and sleeping pads—they'll also teach you a number of useful skills. From navigation and wilderness safety to leave-no-trace principles and backcountry cooking, both beginner and intermediate campers will glean the necessary skills to start planning their own backpacking trips. Breakfast and dinner will also be provided (with vegetarian and gluten-free options available), but you'll be responsible for packing your own lunch.

The Details
• Make sure to bring a camera, pocket knife, and lunch for three days
• Hiking shoes or boots are key—bring those along, too

  • It was an awesome experience! The guides made me feel safe. They were patient and knowledgeable!
