About Vine on the Waterfront

Converging in Oronoco Bay Park for one day, the Vine on the Waterfront festival brings the area's best wine producers together in one spot, along with many of Alexandria's favorite restaurants and food purveyors. Admission to the festival is free, so visitors can walk around before purchasing something to eat or a full glass of wine from one of the many wineries. The event also includes live entertainment, children's activities, and contests to crown the best local appetizer, entree, and dessert. Vine on the Waterfront was formerly known as Alexandria's Food & Wine Festival.

The food we tried was delicious and filling (Bangers and mash) for two. Lots of vendors, good atmosphere. Would go back again.

Great day out with the family and friends but don't come hungry. Food vendors were limited.

Food vendors were scarce, resulting in long lines. Plenty of wine tasting.

Didn't realize had to buy a second ticket to drink wine. I would have just bought that & brought a picnic lunch.

It was okay. I think it could have been organized a bit better.

The Vine was ok. The organizers were not very prepared In getting to go when the gates opened. The wineries and food were acceptable. Water was not readily available for purchase. Only got one bottled water with the purchase of wine tickets.

Wine vendors need to have larger booths and more personnel working them. Food vendors did not prepare. A few ran out of food. Lines were way too long. Hopefully this is a learning lesson for them for a better time next year.

Superb place to be at! Loved the wine tasting and the Italian restaurant Carluccios had amazing meatballs and tiramisu! Will be back with more friends for sure
