Great fun! Tell passengers they can change seat direction on the train by pushing on the seat.

The volunteers were terrific. our three year old had a great time. Local "deli" had good food. A wonderful place for a family day trip near San Diego.

The train ride was most interesting, especially with the commentary from the crew along the way. One outstanding part of the trip was when the engine broke down for about 20 minutes!

This is a fun day trip for kids 2 and up. Keep in mind that it gets very hot during the day and the train is not air conditioned. Be sure to bring plenty of ice water. If you have time to pack a lunch that would also help extend your stay. We plan on coming back out for the holiday train when the kids are older.
