About DSLR Workshops by Okello Dunkley

Okello Dunkley designs his workshops for beginners or anyone who doesn’t use their DSLR camera in manual mode. The accessible nature of these classes has helped Okello spread them into over 70 cities across the USA, where students, some as young as 12, have learned how to demystify their complicated cameras. He’ll teach you about and how to manually set aperture, ISO, and shutter speed in order to capture the pictures your camera is capable of. Classes cover all Canon, Nikon and Sony Alpha DSLRs. Other camera brands are welcome although you may need to refer to your owner’s manual to change settings. Okello has given his class live hundreds of times and now his online classes with help you finally take your camera off auto mode.

I received a DSLR camera as a gift and had no clue how to use it. This workshop helped me understand what to consider in order to use the camera and take pictures. I was initially intimidated and thought it would be too technical for a complete amateur like me, but the workshops were explained in manner that I understood. I learned a lot! I recommend this workshop.

No tips really. Bring a notepad to take notes. But everything else is clearly laid out prior to class!

I thought the class would be more hands on but it was heavy on the lecture. I thought we would be able to take pictures around the room, objects and not be sitting down the whole time. Other then that, I still enjoyed the class very much. Thank you

This is an intense, fast- paced workshop but I think valid information was shared. Presenter has a Facebook page in which additional info is provided and questions can be answered. Now need to practice!!!
