Built on what was once a cattle ranch, The Golf Club at Roddy Ranch offers a taste of Scotland in the Bay Area. The links-style course requires players to account for each hole's strategically placed bunkers, while negotiating the course's impressive length—more than 7,000 yards from the back tees. Many of those are elevated, providing scenic views of East Bay and the surrounding hills. Additional facilities onsite include a driving range, putting green, and chipping area.

It's a challenging course; lots of bunkers. But worth it. A great course. take food with you, no cross over at the club house on 9.
