About Big Red Biplanes

It's not every day that a flying lesson means also feeling the wind in your hair, but the open-air cockpit of Big Red Biplanes' 1941 Boeing-Stearman guarantees it. Updated with a powerful Pratt & Whitney 450 HP radial vintage engine, cockpit, and communication system, passengers or co-pilots can climb into the plane's front cockpit, where they'll communicate by radio with the well-versed sky jockey in the front. Headed up by airline pilot and former competition unlimited aerobatic pilot in the International Aerobatic Club, Ed Duckworth, Big Red Biplanes' tours even include an option for some stunt flying, during which passengers can experience exhilarating loops and barrel rolls.

It was great to fly in the Biplane. Ed explains everything to you. Ed has a lot of experience flying the Biplane and also flying for a commercial airline. I took my ride in the morning, so you will need warmer clothes now when it is almost December here in Arizona. I would definitely recommend this adventure !!

If you've ever watched these planes on TV you owe it to yourself to try. Ed was wonderful he explained the plane, and it's history. He created a real sense of confidence. I would do it over and over again if I could afford it.
