About BoRu Arlington

Though the interior of Japanese' Kitchen takes a modern approach to traditional Asian décor, its lunch and dinner menus are filled with authentic Japanese cuisine. On traditional hibachi grills, chefs-turned-showmen sizzle morsels of marinated chicken, NY strip steak, and lobster alongside fresh vegetables. At the sushi bar, maki-makers hand craft spicy tuna, tempura shrimp, and California rolls in a less flashy display. For more unique flavors, Japanese' Kitchen’s serves up appetizers of tempura-fry calamari and cap meals with desserts such as housemade crème brulee infused with green tea and cream harvested from the brulee tree. Japanese' Kitchen also stocks a selection of imported Japanese drinks including Echigo Koshi Hikari rice lager, Junmai sake, and Ramune orange soda.

The food was very good and plentiful; the service was also very good but, at 6:15pm on a Thursday, we were the only customers in the restaurant.

For a party of more than 3 - 4 people, plan 2 hours for dinner if you are dining Hibachi-style. To do this correctly, the food prep and 'show' are fairly lengthy. But we had a very enjoyable time and a delicious meal.

Be careful they add the gratuity to the bill regardless the size of your party for Hibachi grill. My husband left an additional 20% and service and grill chef did not warrant this much extra.

The service was beyond abysmal and the food was under cooked and made me ill. I was so sick I paid the bill and rushed home. I have called repeatedly to report the service and food and ask for my money back. They took my debit card number over the phone for a refund, then told me they needed a manager to approve the refund. Now they have my debit card number probably sitting around in the open at the restaurant. Very unhappy with my experience. They've given me the run around on purpose. I have never asked for my money back before but that's how bad it was.

Service is really bad. Not enough waiters or waitress. We were there 7:30 pm and was told the sushi bar is closed, and if we want to order sushi, the wait time is 45 minutes to an hour. It's just terrible. Will Not go back anymore.
