About The Yellow Door

In 1966, The Yellow Door was a small jewelry shop in Brooklyn. Owners Sallee Bijou and Gladys Chabbot only had 600 square feet of space to work with, so they decided to focus on quality over quantity. Today, their business has expanded to include a store in New Jersey and an updated 6,000-square-foot store in Brooklyn, but the commitment to unique, quality jewelry hasn’t changed. Today, Bijou’s daughter, Luna Bijou Zemmol, oversees the selection of jewelry and watches from the likes of Judith Ripka, Philip Stein, Michael Kors, and Ralph Lauren, as well as gift items such as crystal salt-and-pepper shakers and stainless-steel kitchenware.
