About Laurello Vineyards

When Larry and Kim Laurello founded Laurello Vineyards in 2002, they reignited a decades-old family tradition. Larry's grandfather, Cosmo, established the family's first Ohio-based winery in the 1940s, eventually leaving the fields behind to establish a railroad-construction company. That company still exists today, although Laurello Vineyards honors the family's past while setting down fresh roots for the future.

The family mainly creates Old World–inspired blends and single-varietal wines with crisp acidity and firm tannic structure to balance the fruit-forward notes. Ohio-grown grapes appear in many wines such as an off-dry, pear-tinged riesling and an unctuous cabernet franc-cabernet sauvignon blend, which ages in French oak barrels. Laurello Vineyards also features a casual bistro, which tempts visitors with its gourmet cheese and antipasto boards, panini sandwiches, and wood-fired pizzas.
