About Soul Survivor

Throughout the year, Soul Survivor gathers up to 200 players at a time to re-create the zombie apocalypse. Things begin innocently enough in the fictional town of Baker's Creek. But when a zombie infection is introduced, the inhabitants—all clad in gleaming white T-shirts—must scatter to outwit and outrun the ever-growing horde. Zombies pass the infection by marking players with their "blood." The newly turned then report to the cabin for a zombie metamorphosis, which involves putting on makeup and memorizing Night of the Living Dead. One lucky survivor walks away with not just a clean tee, but a cash prize to boot.

This was a really fun experience! If you plan to attend one of these events in the summer I suggest the 8 a.m. time slot so you don't get too hot. The staff provided us bottled water before and after the event and were a lot of fun to be around. If you love zombies this is a great experience. Added bonus, all the money raised for these events goes to a charity in or around the town its held in.

It was lame. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! "Soul Survivor will transform the sleepy town of Forsyth, Ga, into a ghost town for a 5K race"..."as they run a course through a haunted TOWN, they may encounter the frighteningly realistic zombies that Soul Survivor is know for..." We didn't run through the town (which had been really cool bc it's an awesome little town) and there was no "haunted town" transformation. We ran on the rough trails through the woods, in pitch dark at the Recreation center. When the director of the race starts out with, "You can run or walk, but I advise the latter bc the trails can be dangerous bc of the tree roots..." REALLY!?! It's a RUN~!!! The trails were barely decorated and there weren't enough volunteers to scare anyone. Not to mention, the staff was still setting up right before the race. Utterly disappointed...LAME! LAME! LAME! Hated I wasted my money on this event. Keri
