This is an old, rustic ski area with a laid back vibe. It's very small and the runs are short, so it is a good place to learn and to bring kids.

Chair lift tenders are cautious and considerate of skiers when they encounter problems getting on the chair lift, stopping it to avoid problems. Word of caution, I would suggest they keep an eye out that the bar be pulled down once the skier is on the lift. My out-of-state grandchildren got on the lift after a lesson last Saturday, but didn't know they had to pull the bar down. The instructor also hadn't told them about this after putting them on the lift. We, watching below, yelled out to them to pull the bar down. This was a close one!
