When Santa needed a place to greet the children of Danville in 2012, one of his go-to stops was Amen Affordable Bakery. The shop hosted an event for him, during which he jotted down toy requests while the kids decorated cupcakes and cookies. The activity was an apt fit for the bakery, whose culinary team adds an ornamental touch to its homemade cookies and cupcakes, no matter the time of year. Amen's made-to-order treats also include brownies, cherry danishes, pecan pies, and pumpkin muffins, which transform back into regular pumpkins if they aren't eaten before midnight.
