The mud run was fun! It wasn't very difficult so we were able to complete it without any training. The only thing is that the online pictures are not free.

Irvine Lake Mud Run leads racers along a perfectly filthy 5K path beginning and ending at picturesque Irvine Lake. As runners sprint along mud-laden roads, they're forced to conquer obstacles such as dirt mounds, tires, jump walls, and mud pits. After crossing the finish line, they can cleanse themselves in one of the 30 onsite showers or with one long, dog-like shudder. Next they can swill sips of craft brews in the beer garden, groove along to live music, or peruse the booths during the Action Sports & Eco Fair.

It was a lot of fun!! great experience for my first mud run!!! Should have many more at the Santa Fe Dam.

I was lucky I paid $25 for it, so it was worth it, but I would not recommend it because they were very disorganized! I had to go back 2 times on Friday ro pick up my packet because the first time I was told by the staff that I came too early and my team name didn't make the list and to come back at a later time. I went in at 4:30pm to only get in line to put my name on a pink sheet of paper! That was very disappointing and I could have done that the first time! They should have not told me to come pick the packet up if its not ready! The day of was as disorganized as package pickup! The obstacles were the same ones over and there wasn't enough to keep me wanting to go back. This needs to be changed!
